Deputation Update

September 18, 2009

Dear Friends and Family,

The past two weeks have been quite busy as we've been running here and there trying to gather all of the needed paperwork for our visa applications. With the exception of a couple small things it seems we finally have it all collected and organized. We were also encouraged with a new supporting church in eastern North Carolina and another promise of support from a nearby church in SC. This puts us up a little over 83.5%.

LIfe with the new baby has been quite a tiresome, but enjoyable adjustment for us all -- the little guy now has three moms as my two daughters have taken it upon themselves to make sure he is taken care of! What a blessing from the Lord he has been to all of us!

Please pray that the Lord would give us all an extra dose of His grace this week. Jeremy came down with the flu on Monday evening and is still recovering, and this morning Allie woke up with a fever and flu-like symptoms. Esther feels like she might be coming down with it too.

We are now packing to head out in the morning for a mission conference in GA. We are praying that by tomorrow evening Jeremy's congestion will clear up enough to be able to speak without coughing, and that Esther and Allie will heal quickly so as to be able to attend the conference. We praise the Lord for the past two weeks of encouragement and for the strength He has already given in the midst of our sickness! What a blessing it will be when we one day will receive our new body that will be free from the curse of sin!

Many thanks to all of you for your continued prayers and support!

With Grateful Hearts,

Jeremy and Esther Lockhart
