Deputation Update

Dear Friends and Family,

This past week has been quite eventful yet very profitable. Monday and Tuesday we were part of the Missions Conference at Spruce Street Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, NC. We were able to stay in a nice mission house that one of the members had built just for missionaries to stay in. This was a nice refreshment.

On Wednesday morning we headed to Chesapeake, VA for a meeting that night. We were able to spend some time with Pastor John Godfrey before the service and then John Godfrey Jr. took us out after the service for some fellowship. Pastor Godfrey said they planned to take us on for support and would vote next week!

On Thursday we just drove about 2 hours and stopped for the day at a nice motel so we could spend some time playing with the kids and get some rest. We had a great time together just as a family! For supper we went out to a small little Italian restaurant and ended up sitting in a booth next to the pastor of the Assembly of God church in town. When we went to pay for our bill we found that the pastor of this church had already paid it for us. His kindness was a great blessing even though we didn’t want to ask him for a meeting at his church!

On Friday we arrived at home and washed and repacked some clothes. On Saturday we headed to Pineville, NC to the South Charlotte Baptist Church and met the pastor and his wife for supper. We enjoyed our fellowship with them and then returned to the church to stay in their prophet’s chamber for the night.

Sunday found us quite busy as Jeremy taught the college and career Sunday school class, presented our ministry in children’s church and in the Spanish church, and then preached in the evening service. We arrived home last night and got to rest for a few days before heading out again!

Also, about two weeks ago, Omar and Tracy Schrock were accepted by our mission board and are starting to schedule meetings. For those that do not know, this is the other couple from our church that God has called to Brazil. We are excited about working together with them in Brazil and ask that you all pray for them as well.
