Deputation Update

November 11, 2008

Dear Friends and Family,

Since our last update the LORD has blessed us with some good meetings! After a few days at home trying to get some necessary things accomplished, we travelled to Clarksville, Tennessee. We had a great meeting at the Gateway Baptist Church with Pastor Dalton. We arrived to the meeting a little early, but it wasn’t until after we arrived at the church that we remembered that we had changed over to Central time. This made us very early. Oh well, our girls enjoyed a little extra play time in the nursery before the service began. We enjoyed the time after the service with the assistant pastor and his wife, TJ and Hannah Phillips.

The next day we travelled to Georgia . We spent a few days with Esther’s parents, and then travelled to Loganville, Georgia for a mission conference at Calvary Baptist Church. What a great time we had! Pastor and Mrs. Powell were very kind to us, and we also enjoyed spending time with Josh and Alicia Appel (fellow Ambassador graduates) and their children. This church was started by Pastor Don Bernard. He has been a blessing to our pastor over the years, and we were privileged to spend a little time with him during the week.

After that meeting we travelled back to Columbus, Georgia for a few days. Jeremy was asked to preach for a teen meeting on that Saturday. We had an enjoyable day! The church was full! They had about seven area churches participating, and we were privileged with the opportunity to give a short challenge from God’s Word.

After the teen meeting, we travelled to Jonesboro, Georgia to be in a meeting at Antioch Baptist Church. Jeremy’s uncle is the pastor and his grandmother is a member. We enjoyed getting to see some of our relatives again! We were also surprised that after the service they voted to take us on for support. Praise the LORD for this new support.
